BODY PAINTING THE NUDE AS HUMAN CANVASS

I  am a Professional Artist.   After  High School in West Seattle, I attended the  University of Washington in the  5  year Art School  program.  I majored in Painting and Printmaking.
Of the many classes we had  was Life Drawing.  We had live nude Male  and Female models.
Back in my college years, I never realized the value of the Nude portrait. Now in my later years,
I know that the human body is beautiful.  It does not matter shape, size or even  sex.
A friend of mine in Seattle asked me to body paint him nude as a "Wookie"  from Star Wars.
This was for the Freemont  Soltice Parade in Seattle Washington.  Justin is over 6 feet tall, with very long hair.  He asked me to join him as a nude bicycle rider, and be body painted.  I would have, but is was  a very cold  June weekend in Seattle.  So, I didn't take Justin up on the invitation.  Justin has no body hair except his arm pits and pubic hair.  So Justin stripped naked as the day he was born.  It took about half an hour, and the new father of a baby boy stood before me as a  Wookie from Star Wars.

It is hard to recognize a body painted man or woman.  Justin and I helped paint a man who had flown in from Atlanta.  He was a Real Estate agent with a Pony Tail, ans he shaved of his Pubic hair.I helped paint a few more men.  The Nude men and women  proudly got ready to mount their biycles to start  the 2006 Parade.
